Attorney Buck is settlement and resolution oriented, but tough and aggressive when needed (in litigation). She strives to minimize trauma in divorce, and believes these are problems to be resolved, not battles to be fought.

Founder of the Law Offices of Meredith J. Buck, P.C., Meredith Buck brings to her legal practice an extensive background in critical care and surgical nursing. In addition to being a mediator and collaboratively trained attorney who uses alternative methods of dispute resolution to keep parties out of court, she is also a founding member of the Amicable Divorce Network in Pennsylvania, as she is a firm believer in resolving matters in a constructive and productive manner.

In 2019, she became the first female ever elected as Coroner for the County of Bucks where she compassionately and competently oversaw every aspect of professional medico-legal death investigation. In her role as Coroner, she helped shepherd the community through the global pandemic, collaborating with federal, state, and local agencies including law enforcement, hospitals, and long-term care facilities in navigating the unprecedented crisis. She is particularly proud of her work with the community and the media to reunite many unclaimed decedents with their loved ones. She and her staff make it possible for many unclaimed Veterans and their spouses to be properly laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery and other National Cemeteries in the Commonwealth.

She received her R.N. from Chestnut Hill Hospital School of Nursing, where she graduated with honors. She graduated summa cum laude from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science with a B.S. in Health Care Administration. Elected as a member of Phi Delta Phi, she received her J.D. from Widener University School of Law, where she also became certified in mediation.

Because of Ms. Buck’s diverse background in nursing and administration, after September 11, 2001, she concentrated much of her time as a volunteer nurse and instructor for the Emergency Services Department of the American Red Cross, traveling to New York, Colorado, California, and as far as Guam with the disaster relief efforts. Because of her extensive volunteer disaster relief efforts beginning with 9/11, she received the 2009/2010 Florence Nightingale Medal, the highest international honor that a nurse can receive, awarded by the International Committee of the Red Cross which “honors exceptional courage and devotion to caring for the victims of armed conflict or other disasters, or exemplary services and a creative and pioneering spirit in the areas of public health or nursing education”. She continues to volunteer on both a local and national level.

As an attorney, Ms. Buck worked as an associate at Plakins, Rieffel & Ray P.C., where she concentrated her practice on medical-malpractice defense. In addition to owning and operating her firm in Chalfont, she devotes many hours to the pro bono representation of Protection from Abuse clients. Additionally, Ms. Buck continues to work as a nurse on a volunteer basis.

Ms. Buck is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey and in the Court of Bucks County. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, where she served as a Delegate to the House of Delegates, and also the Bucks County Bar Association where she served on the Board of Directors. As an active community advocate, she also sits on the Central Bucks Ambulance and Rescue Squad’s Board of Directors.
